Refund & Cancellation
This English text is a convenience translation; the legally binding version is in German. The operator is Digitalmindsoft Publishing e.K., based in Germany. This policy supplements the Terms of Service; otherwise those apply.
1. Digital content and immediate provision
The purchase of “Amber” balance and of paid subscriptions constitutes the supply of digital content or services. By making the purchase, the user expressly requests immediate provision and agrees that performance begins before the withdrawal period expires. The user confirms their awareness that their right of withdrawal lapses upon full performance of the contract or upon commencement of performance (§ 356(5), § 357(8) BGB (German Civil Code)).
2. Refunds of Amber balance
Amber has no cash value, cannot be paid out and cannot be transferred to other accounts. To the extent permitted by law, Amber already acquired is excluded from any refund. If Amber was debited due to a technical error without the result being delivered, we will automatically re-credit the amount or refund it on request.
3. Subscriptions and cancellation
Subscriptions can be cancelled at any time effective at the end of the current billing period – in your account under “Subscription” or by notifying us. After cancellation, access remains in place until the end of the period already paid for; no pro-rata refund is given for the current period, to the extent permitted by law. There is no automatic refund of monthly Amber credits already granted.
4. No refund on account deletion
If the account is deleted or terminated – for any reason and by whomever –, unused Amber expires without compensation. There is no claim to payout, refund or compensation of value for purchased or unused Amber, to the extent permitted by law.
5. Payment processing and contact
Payment and invoice processing is handled by our payment service provider Paddle (Paddle.com Market Ltd.), which acts as the seller (“Merchant of Record”). Refundable amounts are refunded via the same payment method. For enquiries regarding purchases, invoices or refunds you can reach us using the contact details given in the Imprint.
6. Mandatory consumer rights
Mandatory statutory consumer rights – in particular warranty rights as well as any rights of withdrawal, insofar as they have not lapsed under point 1 – remain unaffected by this policy.
